First identify the beacon in your task
The Resonance Beacon placement question is a quest-objective question. The earlier advice on this page to place it beside a corpse or extraction lane was not supported and should not be used as the task solution. A respawn beacon has a different purpose.
We have not obtained an official task walkthrough or current in-game capture confirming the precise Resonance Beacon container. The previously reported Strength / Shegolskoe association is a research lead, not a verified location. Do not spend a raid following an invented coordinate.
A useful placement checklist
- Open your active Investigation and read the exact item name, stage, location and map variant. Confirm that it asks for the Resonance Beacon rather than a revival device.
- Bring the required quest item. Check whether the task asks you to plant it, extract it or deliver it after returning; those actions are not interchangeable.
- At the indicated objective, look for the matching container or interaction prompt. Clear nearby threats before interacting. Dropping the item on arbitrary ground is not proof of completion.
- Check that the objective counter or stage changes. Follow any extraction or turn-in instruction before leaving the quest unfinished.
If there is no interaction prompt, recheck the active stage, selected variant and item in your inventory before attempting another location. A screenshot of the task card and container prompt is needed to turn this checklist into a verified route.

Can I put the Resonance Beacon anywhere safe?
Do not assume so. A task placement requires the destination and interaction specified by that task. Tactical respawn placement advice does not answer it.

A player-reported route to check
In a first-person Strength guide read on October 14, a player reports this sequence in Shegolskoe: collect the beacon at your feet on spawning, follow the yellow map marker labeled “cupboard,” then activate the beeping interaction at the house. Faster beeps reportedly lead toward a cupboard near the roof; interacting with it stops the sound and lets the player place the beacon inside. The author says the marker was not clearly labeled as part of the mission.
